The Boeing 717 is a Short To Medium Range Narrowbody Jet Airliner. It Is a Twinjet and was originally developed by McDonnell Douglas as the MD-95 In 1994. Although It was Named The MD-95 Before the first one was complete MDC and Boeing Had Merged and so renamed it the Boeing 717-200. Its the "-200" Because The KC-135 had the designation 717-100 and a lack of use left it available to rename the MD-95 the Boeing 717.
